The Church of England School, in the parish of Hanbury, is a coeducational school which admits over 120 pupils with a full range of abilities between the ages of five and nine years. Pupils are taught in five individual year groups from Reception to Year 4. Wrap around care is provided before and after school and during school holidays by ‘Scooters’ an independent organisation who work closely with the school.

The school is situated in idyllic rural surroundings and is housed in a pleasing combination of old and new building styles which over the years has achieved a comparatively spacious unit with good facilities to cater for all children's educational needs.

The school has close links with Hanbury Church and the local village community. There are regular visits by church representatives and the school celebrate many of the religious festivals in church.

The school and parents benefit from the ‘Friends of Hanbury School’, (see web page in organisations), an active parents association who organise a wide range of social and fundraising activities for the benefit of the children.
