The Women’s Institute (WI) was formed in 1915 and is now the largest voluntary women’s organisation in the UK.
Hanbury WI was set up in 1917 and is an informal and friendly group with members of all ages and consists of both working and non-working women who come together to share, help and inspire one another.

We are delighted to welcome new members and are always on the look out for new projects and interests for the group.

We like to support local charities and have donated to local hospices, wildlife trusts and local projects.

The meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month at Hanbury Village Hall at 7.30 p.m. and usually last about two hours. The meetings open with a welcome from the President and some WI business, followed by a speaker or activity and then we finish with refreshments and a chance to chat and make new friends.
